New snow:
We received anywhere from 1.5 to 6 inches of new snow on Monday!
With the small amount of snow on the ground and the new snow we are attempting to groom trails.
Open areas are very thin, some swamps are ugly but many areas are fair with some good areas.
Somewhat decent riding is possible between Brule, Poplar, Hawthorne, Lake Nebagamon and possibly Rapids Riverside. Later Thursday we will have a better idea about Trail #27 to St Croix Lake.
Trail #1: Groomed Wednesday
Trail #2: Groomed Wednesday with one pass between Brule to Rapids Riverside. Scheduled for grooming later Thursday from Rapids Riverside to Brule and back. We will probably not groom west of Rapids Riverside.
Trail #4: Groomed one pass from Brule to Hawthorne on Monday. Groomed double wide between Brule and Hawthorne on Tue/Wed.
Groomed from Hawthorne to the warming shack at 41 on Tuesday. Very low snow conditions in some areas west of Hawthorne.
Trail #6 East: Groomed on Tuesday.
Trail # 6 West: Groomed on Wednesday.
Trail # 24: Groomed Monday and Wednesday.
Trail # 27/27A: Groomed Sunday and scheduled for grooming on Thursday.
Trail # 35 may not be groomed due to low snow conditions.
The Warming Shack and porta potty at the Jct of #4 & #41 are all ready to go. We left a light on for you.
The bridge is in on the 18th Street reroute and work has been suspended for the winter.
We widened Trail 24 south of Poplar in the tight, twisty part south of Middle River Road.
We removed a couple dozen trees and ground down the stumps making it safer for sleds and groomers.
